When children are involved, great care is given to developing a custody plan that preserves the parent/child relationship.  Careful attention is given to all aspects of support, including child support, spousal support (alimony), and the maintenance of health insurance and life insurance.

As a result of our members’ experience in local government, our firm has developed an expertise in representing individuals and businesses that deal with governmental agencies – such as cities, school boards, special districts and county boards – in processing matter through the multiple levels of government.

We can provide assistance in contract negotiations, processing plans and permits, zoning issues, conditional use permits, variances, CEQA hearings and appeals before planning boards, commissions and committees, as well as city or county hearing boards.

Our firm specializes in the preparation of Intervivos Trusts (living trusts) customized to our clients’ needs, We assist with the transfer of assets to the trust and communicate regularly with our clients to update trust schedules and to advise of recent legal and tax developments. In addition to living trusts and wills, our firm assists clients with the preparation of irrevocable trusts, including life insurance trusts, charitable lead and annuity trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, trusts for minors, special needs trusts, and pre-marital agreements.

As part of our estate planning services, we also assist with lifetime gifting strategies, generation-skipping techniques, small-business planning and post-mortem tax planning. We also prepare durable powers-of -attorney for asset management and advance health care directives. Keith was born in Duluth, Minnesota, and grew up in Lakewood. He attended Long Beach State University and received his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University, College of Law.

Keith currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of MemorialCare Health System, operator of five not-for-profit acute care hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Keith is a former city councilman and mayor of La Palma, having served two terms (1984-1992). He served on the Cypress College Foundation from 1989 through 2009, holding every office, including president in 1991 and 1992. In 2010, he was appointed to the Orange County Senior Citizens Advisory Commission, representing the City of La Palma.

Phil has been a Southern California resident for more than 40 years and has lived in Long Beach since 1992. He earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Abraham Lincoln University School of Law in Los Angeles. While a student there, he served as the founding editor of the school’s student newsletter. He has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Abraham Lincoln.

Phil is active in the Los Angeles County Bar Association Trust & Estate Section and the Long Beach Bar Association. He is a past president of the Long Beach Barristers. He is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce.

Greg was born and raised in Long Beach. He attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science. Greg received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Law Center.

Greg has been active in the Long Beach, Los Angeles County, Orange County and State of California Bar Associations. He served on the Board of Governors for the Long Beach Bar Association and is a past president of the Long Beach Barristers. Greg has served as a vice-president of the Rotary Club of Long Beach and serves on the Board of Directors for the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce. Greg has served on the Board of Directors for the Long Beach Day Nursery, and is a graduate of Leadership Long Beach, 1998. Greg is a past president of the Long Beach City College Adaptive Physical Education Associates and serves on the Rancho Niguel Little League Board of Directors.

Mark was born and raised in Long Beach. He received his Bachelor’s degree from UCLA and his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University.

Mark served on the Board of Directors of Long Beach Transit from 2004 to 2011 (and as Board Chairman in 2010 and 2011). He is also involved with the Long Beach City College Foundation (of which he was president from 1998-2000), and the Rotary Club of Long Beach. Mark is a member of the Family Law Sections of both the Los Angeles County and the Orange County Bar Associations. He serves as a volunteer settlement mediator in local family law courts. Mark is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association and the Christian Legal Society.
